Shraddha Kapoor Stree 2 Release & Review Live Updates:
Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee is releasing in theatres on August 15. Stree, which released in 2018, was a horror-comedy that was loved by the audience. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film was set in the town of Chanderi where a spirit abducts men. The story of Stree is such that people write ‘O Stree Kal Aana’ on their walls.
The sequel takes the story forward and starts from the same point where the first film ended. However, this time the locals living in Chanderi team up with the mysterious character played by Shraddha Kapoor as they face another ghost named ‘Sarakta’. The characters played by Rajkummar, Aparshakti, Abhishek come back to confront the ghost and are joined by Pankaj Tripathi’s Rudra.
Stree 2 is expected to become the biggest box office opener of this year as reports have indicated that the film could earn over Rs 40 crore on the first day. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already grossed over Rs 13.7 crore at the box office. The film will also get the benefit of an extended weekend as after releasing on Thursday, the weekend extends till Monday, which is the Raksha Bandhan holiday. Stree 2 is releasing alongside John Abraham-starrer Veda and Akshay Kumar-starrer Khel Khel Mein, but both these films have failed to create any buzz. Stree 2 is banking on the loyalty of the audience to become the biggest hit of the year and if everything goes in their favour, it could cross Rs 100 crore in the first few days itself.
